Family Greeters

Family Greeter Volunteers welcome the child and their family to the center and make them feel comfortable and at ease. Volunteers answer any questions the family may have and engage the child in an activity such as playing a board game, coloring, reading or watching a video. When interviews are not being conducted, the Family Greeter will also make contact with families to obtain an evaluation of the services they received at The Bridge. Family Greeters need to be at least 18 years of age. This position is available from 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday thru Friday. Family Greeters may volunteer half days or bi-weekly. Flexible schedules are available.

Community Education Volunteer

Volunteers will increase community awareness of The Bridge and child abuse prevention by coordinating community education programs, health fair booths and local conferences. Education volunteers will also design, gather articles and aid in the distribution of a quarterly newsletter. Volunteers need to be at least 21 years of age. This position is available from 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday thru Friday. However, some weekends and evenings my be necessary depending on requests.

Case Coordinator Volunteer

Volunteers will work closely with the Victims Assistance Coordinator to obtain dispositions from partner agencies, and record them in files. Volunteers will also complete crime victims compensation forms and Fone Friend applications with families during their time at The Bridge. In addition, these volunteers will distribute surveys to families regarding the counseling services they received. Case Coordinator Volunteers need t be at least 18 years of age. This position is available from 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday thru Friday. Flexible schedules are available.
